BOMBARDMENT

And when I say BOMBARDMENT...

Dan just unloaded photos from the camera - I've been asking & asking - and he finally got a free second...

and he was stunned to see Birthday Party Pictures on there...

the Birthday Party from June - that I've yet to write the Thank-you-notes for -

SO - I know there are a bunch that have been on here between then & now...

but this is the true overview of the whole summer

Birthday Presents - I know everyone gave her a billion wonderful things

but I'm dealing with 3+ months of photos here... I'm sorry if your particularly particular gift didn't make the cut..

this is from late July - there were a few days of crazy rain -

which APPARENTLY makes zucchini grow...

I know you saw the other pics - but this is the funny "Im going to take a bite" picture..

Dave & Dionne brought Cody over.. and Anna LOVED HIM

HOWEVER -

this dog sets a very bad example for other dogs...

Anna was pulling on his tail - pulling on his tongue - taking his toys away -

all in all TORTURING him... and he just didn't mind..

in the mean time - I'm trying to tell her not to bug the dog

Finally the dog walked away.. and she just could NOT understand why

NOW! we finally get to beach prep!

First trip to the beach!

Well - we had our first trip to the beach -and I've got to tell you

the girl didn't love it

I don't think I have ever I heard the little bird say "all done" more in one day

Needless to say - Daddy was pleased to be there too

4H Fair

So we went to the 4H Fair yesterday - and Anna LOVED IT
HOWEVER
as soon as we parked the car - I realized we forgot the camera
We took a few pictures with the phone... but it was just TOO HOT to stand in the sun - fiddle with the phone & take pictures of smelly farm animals...
just know - that she loved it
Maybe we will take better pics for the Hunterdon 4H..

ELMO HAS BEEN FIXED!!
I repeat - Elmo has been cured of his emphysema and is now able to blow bubbles again!

Hot fun in the summertime

Anna has finally mastered making her smooch face..

it pretty much consists of her sucking air in and out of her scrunched nose - but it makes a funny noise

and she thinks it is the funniest thing in the whole wide world

Every now and then, you take a picture and look back at it and say "Who is this kid?"

I don't know how messy she was - or how badly she needed a nap

but I don't think this is my girl

Maybe, I've never seen her as happy as she was on the Elmo Car...

Sat. afternoon, we went to Cliffstock, a local fund raiser with Aunt Denise & Frankie...

and Anna got to sit on a pony - hot stuff

...eating eating and more eating..

instead of adding a whole new section -
I thought I'd just stick this one picture in...

I feel like the only pictures on this blog are of Anna in her car seat - or in her highchair
so here are some more

As for our garden - Anna totally loves it -
HOWEVER - we have a problem with the zucchini...
sometimes they have a tendancy to get out of control.
two days ago - it was a rainy mess, so we could not go harvest our crop...
yeah - so being a few hours late - the zucchini went wild.
this was one day of the stupid squash...
I've been begging co-workers for zucchini-bread recipies..

and Anna is a very good taster...
Anna is learning how to work the spoon..
we're getting there slowly

but getting there is half the fun? right? now the spoon... this is how it works:

- hold the spoon

- take a handful of dinner

- put it on the spoon

- eat

like I said before.. slowly

but we're getting there!!!

ps - spaghettios are her new favorite

when we play in the garden - Anna insists on holding on to something...

today it was a sunflower

always so proud of her crop...

something has to be said about how adorable it is to see a little kid sleeping so peacefully.
HOWEVER
if this little girl is not sleeping peacefully at 3am on a Wednesday...
and refuses to go back to sleep for hours and hours-
and you finally give in and bring her into your own bed so you can be somewhat functional for work the next day...
In a way – she has forced you to turn Sesame Street on and have Elmo call to her in the wee hours of the morning..
But only because you don’t have the heart to wake her up yourself because, after all – she is painfully cute

and June turns into July..

It seems this morning - on the way to Nanny's house - we had a little trouble getting moving...

Anna was VERY excited to have her first 'real' 4th of July picnic..

she got to hang out with friends!

and it was exhausting!

....now we eat big pieces of apples...
it seems we have more & more pictures of this kid sleeping in the car -
but something about an open window.. a bottle... a little bit of sun...
this is Uncle Jonathan not listening to us when we tell him -
"if they are real Prada glasses - do not let her wear them!"
...but uncles will be uncles...

Anna and I were going for a ride the other day - and she put her own hat on - ALL BY HERSELF
needless to say - I was QUITE pleased!

and and and....

we went to the doctor yesterday -

Anna is going to have A BROTHER!!
