Who am I kidding -

there is nothing organized about our lives right now -

pure - 100% unadulterated chaos

Now - on a morning where you are running late to start -

because you overslept and you're super tired

because someone had a gigantic diaper that leaked all over the place and became freezing

because it was so ungodly hot upstairs that you opened the windows

because there was a nice cool breeze that became a freezing chill around 2 am

what?

well - if there is any sight that makes you want to crawl back into bed and snuggle a little bit more..

I think this is it

This weekend was full of walks
walks to the pond, to the horsies, to the mailbox, to see trees, to see birds -
the last one was just a little too hot for the girl

and she showed it

when she's sneaking a seat on the side of the driveway -
you know its hot out

and after a long walk -

everyone gets naked

we finally put the garden together this weekend and Luke helped...

just being cute with new shades & a bouncy boy........

Luke is so big that he holds on to the flowers on his mobile...

Friday's Festivities

Holiday Weekend!

The holiday weekend is nearly upon us!!!!!!!

So - it's nearly memorial day (its friday - close enough) and the only think I can think of is Anna is still wearing her fisherman sweater to keep warm...

WHAT IS THE STORY WITH THE WEATHER!!!??!!?

but notice Luke is constantly in short sleeves without pants -

he's a toasty kid!

Val got the girl some new shades for any upcoming festivities!

Anna is trying to make a move from Bleu Cheese to Ranch..

..didn't go so well..

And Gook.. he tried sweet potatoes for the first time -

Loved them at first..

then had to stop and think about it once he got the spoon away from me
(spoon possession is 9-10ths of the law these days..)and if you're too slow - he eats the bib
The other day was Dionne's birthday..

so we have to give our little birthday recognition via the girlie

Dan was away when Gook had his first taste of sweet potatoes..

so I documented it for him...

Luke's never been one for fun crazy faces...

but you can see his surprise when he realizes he's not eating apples or pears

then - you can see the fight he puts up for the spoon

couldn't you just eat him....

I really don't understand Luke's constant stunned face...

I just want to gobble his cheeks

Wild Weekend..

well - this weekend had potential to be completely wild and crazy and fun -

but alas - we are old shriveled parents now -

WHAT WAS I THINKING!!

and it ended up calm and collected and family-oriented

Luke and I had a little quality time bright and early while his sister snoozed

ALL MORNING

...lucky dog...and Anna was sure to wear her crown whenever possible

she's such an accessorizer

the other day - on the way home from work - I was supposed to pick up some beer for Daddy...

this was the reminder I got

"kids need beer"

I just have to appreciate the cute picture

(I like the way the kids are on the floor - but Elmo has a primo seat on the couch behind them)

Saturday we went to the dmv with Poppy..

they found it as exciting as we did...

she put her shades on (upside down) and passed out

Luke found it enthralling as well
you have to turn your speakers up SUPER LOUD to hear this one...
Luke has mastered the art of raspberries..

and Anna mastered her tumbling...

My my my Michelle was local a few weeks ago -

Anna was sure to get naked to show m.m.m.Michelle all of her poses...

I was so happy when Anna learned how to pose for a picture -

and these just made me think back to Anna's first halloween....

Food Milestones..

Luke had his first taste of green beans last night..

a little stunned at first

Then he realized it was food -

and Luke likes food

Anna had her first corn on the cob last night

and for the most part enjoyed it - until she got corn stuck between her teeth - which caused massive panic

but she's fine now

We took our eyes off her for two seconds to eat our own dinner...

and the girl got her hands on the corn-buttering-butter-holder

and ate half the butter in it..

then cried because we wouldn't let her finish it

hmmmmmm which side of the family do you think she got that from?!!?!
