summer continues

playdoh = hours of messy silence
fish lips & witch nails
and not to be outdone...
Dan made his monster mask

a few days later Alex joined the fun

fresh picked raspberries for breakfast!

rocking the underpants
Anna insisted on sporting boy undies too....
while she sported rock & roll horns - ready to be whipped out at any given second!

happy

Playdoh insanity
at least they know not to actually EAT the playdoh
but I think boy's learning to pretend is almost as cute as girl's over-acting

the nice weather makes me slack

so few of you will understand these first 3 pics -
but for those of you who get it -
I know you'll like it..

the takedown

the tap

the gloat

Dan brought the kids up to the main house for a little bit...
and they had a wonderful time racing with the dog memorials...

due to the nice weather
we've been taking a LOT of walks lately -
Luke always stops for some flowers

while girl hams it up

Luke is very jealous of Anna's gymnastics class
or as Anna would call in Gym-Class-Tics

a day at the severed head salon

another walk

...which always ends up being torture

hat boy

cutie smoocher...
we're still working on 'knees together'

these are the many faces of "Guilty Luke"
"I'm running fast & you can't catch me"

"You're getting closer - so I'll run faster"

"I, too, am amazed I fit under the pew..."

and while all the ladies took pictures...

Luke waited patiently with Moose 2.0

Tis the season to be busy...

...but its a good busy - I'm not complaining!
the kids & I packed up & hit the beach!!!
Totally invading Auntie Fran & destroying everything in our path!

I forgot how early children wake up when they're away from home...
happy - but early!

SO!

we got packed up & took a walk to the beach... Only to loose a shoe

After much driving around .. Nanny's hawkeyes spotted the sneaky little croc and it was safely returned

NEXT - it was time for the beach - quick snack before we left

(note: every picture - Luke is saying 'cheese')

Luke fell asleep before we left... so girl & I hit the sand as a duet

quite proud of the diaper-less-bikini

with no regard to the sand in every nook-and-cranny

...a little break from the sun...

and all over her face

afterwards - we took another walk
girl didn't last very long

my pimp baby

then we hit up Lucy

cheese

more beach

more sand

and more sand

Luke finally made it to the beach

Finally .. it was time to go home
and girl snoozed the whole ride!

and I got home to discover some red swollen feet

THEN

it was fireworks time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luke was very excited - and Girl was very composed!!

Mommy - I'm three now

....this picture shows Luke's beach injuries very nicely...

Girl thinks its all A-OK ... even though Poppy was terribly skeptic

Luke Ooooohhhhhhh 'ed an awful lot

the next day - we were driving home when we discovered an awesome view of a fireworks show in our driveway - SWEET
sadly - girl missed the whole show

but luke was pleased

kids preparing for the beach

Poppy teaching the kids how to be a lunatic in Toys R Us

snuggling

Luke turbo-eating raisins & counting
