PUMPKINS

we did our 'front door harvest'

for some dopey reason - our gourds & jack-be-littles really take off in the basement window by the front door. I can't really complain because I love all the little free pumpkins I get out of the deal - but they have a tendency to take over a little bit.

coming soon

august
and all the summer birthdays that have been missed along the way!

July in the blink of an eye!

One of the best parts of July - is getting to see Auntie Marcia!!!

Auntie Marcia, who lets the kids pick out every part of her outfit.

lets the kids pick out which jewelry she'll wear out.

lets the kids pick flowers when we're walking to the pizzaria.

lets the kids pry into every minute of her time.

lets the kids invade every last corner of her personal space.

and they're in heaven!

2 kids ready to go out on the town!!!

my newest - most favorite picture of the girl

PIZZA

Now, Auntie Marcia didn't realize she was going out for pizza with a movie star. A movie star who requires ice cream after every meal.

a movie star of 1000 different poses

a movie star who decides when too silly is just never silly enough

a movie star who runs anywhere - anytime she wants

and a movie star, didn't you know, never holds her own ice cream!

mom & girlie

sadly - this was the begining of one-sided-sunburn

JULY BASEBALL!!!
there was a lot of pre-game excitement

which may involve a pre-game nap

but once we get to the game - its all business!!!

until we realize how hot it is..

(I think Daddy is getting thinner right before our eyes...)

too hot!

What did you say Anna? how hot was it?

and sometimes, enough is enough, and the kids need to crouch into whatever shade they can find

At a baseball game - there is only 1 real way to beat the heat
COTTON CANDY!

and A LOT of it

after an entire - extreamly humid - baseball game..

girl had had enough cotton-candy-on-the-cob, and decided it was time to share

and for some reason - this was terrifying to the boy

not too terrifying tho

NEW BEDROOM!!!
Nanny & Poppy took the kids fishing for the day so I could redo their room.

No longer babies - requiring baby decor

They were big kids - and needed to be housed appropriately.

the fun part was trying to find something for the girlie-girl on one side of the room

and sticks & snails & puppydog tails for the other side of the room

Sky!!!!!
The new light fixture

didn't have the guts to get rid of their baby-chair yet

or the good-night moon

Girl's side before her clouds

and after

(and of course, by the time I was done, the sun had gone down..

so the light was yucky in the room)

Boy's hooks - match his comforter

boy side

boy's side et al

SWIMMING
kids are quite the swimmers this year

and I'm not kidding when I tell you we were still in Sue's driveway,

when I turned around to back out - this was what I saw...

he didn't even trust himself to hold moose, so he buckled him in too

and some of the fun things I like about July

Fatty sipping from the kiddie pool

creepy cicadas hatching on my hosta

..maybe we can go to church together...

yeah!

DOUBLE YEAH!
