Adrienne taught Anna how to get INTO the sandbox...

Anna enjoyed the sandbox... but never got IN to the sandbox...

Adrienne played in the hammock a bit... and gave the international sign for Fonzy..

And Greg was never shy to show what a good time he was having.......

Luke was so completely bored with the day.........

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

well -

I couldn't have asked for a smoother first day of school

started off with Anna insisting on pony-tails

and then insisting she get out of the car first when we got there..

Then - she was so excited to be there- she didn't want ANYTHING to do with me..

and didn't want to give me the 500 hugs and kisses I insisted on...

I got a text as the morning progressed that she was doing great -

knows her colors

and did very well during circle time..

and then - I got the pictures

and I thought I felt ok this morning leaving her -

but now I feel great

Holy Busy!

oh my - what a busy holiday weekend!!

this was the (long) weekend of play dates -

it starts off with Anna and her new couch..

you can't tell - but she is VERY PLEASED

and when in doubt of the weather

you can tell what's going on by the color of Anna's face...

today was hot & humid..

Luke, on the other hand, got an explosive rash all over his face..

could it be prunes?

could it be teeth? (WHICH YOU CAN SEE HERE!!)

could it be the dirty toys outside in the day old rain water that he just couldn't get enough of?

could it be the new rug that he's dragging his face all over?

who knows

the possibilities are endless

but he's happy - so I'm not too concerned yet

because it was raining - we watched fireworks from the car

Anna had a big bag of Pirate's Booty (thank you greg!!)

and munched while she watched...

With limited 2 year old patience - the snacks helped

A LOT

here - Anna & Luke are wearing their little "I'm the big sister" "I'm the little brother" outfits..

Anna was sure to make an obnoxious face everytime Luke got distracted

I think this is as good as we're gong to get..

Luke will endlessly have his mouth open... and a stunned look on is face

while Anna will endlessly have banged up legs and skinned knees

Anna went over to Nanny's for a little while -

so Luke & I tested out the new hammock

I've discovered the there is no flattering photo angle while sitting on this thing

see droopy eye and 6 chins.. count them - there are at least 6..

Either way - Gook had a great time until he threw up all over me/us

no event is truely complete until gook bites your chin

We were watching tv last night -

and we had a someone peeking in our windows..

I don't remember what was happening here -

but I think it involved some tears.. see red nose

And this one is for Aunt Bonnie..

I called Aunt Bonnie the other day b/c she had sent Anna a ball - and it is the ball to end all balls..

she refuses to share it - and just loves it to pieces..

so the second she's out of sight - Luke grabs it - and takes over ownership

EVERYONE loves this ball

and this was the peeker this afternoon at Nanny's house

what 7 month old is tall enough to peek out of their pack and play?!??!

Just been so busy!!!!!!!

Well we had a play date yesterday with Tracy and Olivia...

and we had to get all the naughty out of our system before they showed up....

and when we were done - everyone took a nap..

this just cements the fact that I'm not the only one who is happy when everyone is asleep at the same time

he's quite pleased with the cushion between his noggin & the wood floors...

Anna tends to be a little dramatic during dinner...

The Duffy's got Anna a book when Luke was born -

and it's all about this little dramatic piggy who is a big sister - and all things she does

and she absolutely LOVES this book...

and when she's missing.. she's hidden somewhere with this book...

this time - she wasn't very hidden

but she still had the book...
