I didn't realize when I put boy on this bumper- that it was 1000 degrees

getting ready for halloween...

very premature - yes I know
but I am absolutely ready for Halloween this year!
Last night for dinner, I made Feetloaf

the finished product
and the kids got to have Halloween Cookies for dessert!
both kids went for a bike ride with Dan
girl brought a pig
typical luke - moving vehicle - go to sleep..
luckily he didn't fall asleep
but by the looks of him, it was close
taking a ride with daddy
momcouch
we have started getting pre-Christmas catalogs in the mail
and it takes all girl's willpower to pull herself away from them to pose for me
aaannnd right back to it
boy has a new pillow facination
stranger cat in our yard

We need to start giving the kids more candy & sugar to build up their tolerance -
two bites of a cookie - and they're both insane...

Faker

so boy is learning how to fake it...

Girl sings along very nicely - and Boy can't keep up with how fast the words are coming - so he just moves his mouth along - but no sounds come out...

Note: the song is PONGO - not bingo... "There was a dog who had some spots & Pongo was his name-o"

the type of weekend that makes me repeat myself

the sad part is - I'm really not sure if I'm repeating myself or not -
but I figured I'd put it out there just in case!!
Dan took girl to the park...
and she enjoyed the company of ducks

boy is learning how to put his feet up on the table while he sits on the couch

then to Nanny's house -
where he hung out with one of the 'stinking cats'

then decided he wasn't going to leave

and then he was invaded - and 2 kids decided not to leave

I took this as a sign he needed a nap - so he went to bed,
stuffed his face into the corner, and was happy

this is one of those pictures where I can't believe how grown up girl is getting

flamingo boy
flamingos don't wear pants, right?

nice dinner
ice cream & a cupcake

a typical dinner at our house -
the insanity doesn't slow down - we just stuff food in their mouths while it is going on...
and boy never slows down with the I love you's
I tell them "I love your guts" and they always elaborate..

September is here!!!

**Note from the editor: Recently, someone had mentioned to me that I have a billion pictures of the girl - and barely any of the boy - SO! in an attempt to take more pictures of the boy - I am noticing no pictures of the girl...
so now, I'm working on evening out the playing field a little bit..**
Hoping September brings many nappers

this didn't really work out like I planned...

Luke trying to find a loophole in the "No Shoes in the Sandbox" rule

I like the pile of toys that used to live in the basket....

First play date of September...
Girl had a little trouble getting out of the hammock
and boy needed to decompress after everyone left...
while girl pushed no one in the swing

nothing better than a boy that just laughs & laughs

boy rocking the full sentences

and just because its cute

Beach Update...

While we were at the beach
we went to the acquarium...
and I'm FINALLY getting around to adding those pictures..
I was just waiting for the tears when there was a double-head-clunk thru the peepie-portholes!

and I barely got any pictures of the girl because she was buzzing around - far too excited to allow me to take her picture...

boy insisted on climbing through each peephole

Girl was not about to take her eyes off the pirate..
sharks? nothing
jellyfish? no bother
crabbies? lemme at 'em
gigantic sea turtle that could eat her alive? bring it on
paper mache pirate? pure terror

...both were more interested in the foam turtle than taking another picture

...and outside...

and the reason I zoomed in on them...
