OUTSIDE!!!!!!

I signed girl up for the big K this week..
so we went out for a celebration dinner...
sushi (read: edamame) and ice cream

and then we went outside!!
and stayed outside!!!
Nanny & Poppy brought over boy's Christmas present...
THE TRACTOR!
Needless to say - everyone was pleased!

so there wouldn't be any jealously issues - I also brought out the bicycle ...
the bicycle that has never before been seen by Tyler-Children-Eyes
Boy jumped off the tractor SO FAST... and couldn't get his hairmit on quick enough

Girl was more than pleased with his decision to get off the tractor

Then we did some serious walking

Well, we did some walking - and the kids did some serious riding...

Exploring new parts of the yard -
and new fields... the kids couldn't be happier.

I noticed that the kids seemed a wee bit nosey about the grass.. and I didn't really think much about it..
and this pic was 2 seconds before girl fell down -
I walked over to help her up & nearly had a heart attack when I saw what she fell on - and what the kids were so nosey about
WRETCH & VOM

what I thought would be a big picture of the fam near a tree that had fallen -
ended up being my heart attack when boy decided to go under the gigumbus tree.. and investigate the tiny sapling that was holding its tremendous weight.
also - Boy has learned how to nicely smile for a picture.. but the next step.. is to face the person taking a picture. You tell him "SMILE!" and he stops dead in his tracks - and smiles.
he needs to acknowledge the person taking the picture a little bit more

after numerous spills - we decided girl needed her hand held at all times...

boy just ran through the woods with reckless abandon

Nice boy insists on helping daddy push the wagon up the hill..

hitching a ride

AND THEN THE STONE PILE
boy had a grand time mastering his jumping skills

Girl found her way to the back of the rock pile -
but was sure to stay out of the picture sort of

DOUBLE JUMPERS

I said he was mastering his jumping skills -
not his landing skills

good place for the girl to strike a pose

Boy was insisting on pulling girl in the wagon...
it was funny - at first, she was too heavy for him to pull
then, all of a sudden, he magically became stronger..
and pulling the wagon really wasn't that big of a deal.

So much easier for everyone this way

Happy babies back at home

Someone is getting lazy...

Boy has cabin fever...

Boy is absolutely going bonkers being trapped inside the house this winter...

Girl has taken his insanity with a grain of salt - and has learned to just walked away from him when he's lost his mind.

He's got a very impressive power stance... and his James Brown moves are dead on...

Where have we been?!?!?

I know - its been ages!!! I'll try my best to get everything up to date as painlessly as possible.
Boy has a new fashion statement of no ears in the hat.
he's wearing a hat - so I'm not about to be picky...
but the ears out.. it makes him look like an elf.

Girl has tuned up her drawing skills...
I did the chicken.. but - if you look closely at her drawing you'll see a new addition
fingers
I love it

boy rocking 2 hoods -
but only wanting 1 hood on his head

it was my birthday!
and two kids squeezed their way into my picture

I told Dan .. for my birthday - I want to paint
not that I was being fancy - it was time!
his job was to help & to pay for the paint.
Room 1

Room 2

Kitchen & Kid's room to follow

Boy got sick... it was his turn!
and the only way I could get him to the doctor.. was with a little bit of bribery

so instead of bringing boy to the doctor -
I brought Spiderman instead.

Next it was Valentine's Day
and we made an insane amount of cookies

serious business

Boy was hanging out in his drawers...
and when he's not dressed - and allowed to hang out sans clothes - things have a tendency to get a little whooped up & out of control.
he was down by the time I got the camera out - so you could just imagine him standing on the back of the couch... which he jumped on from the chair...
looney
I thought boy was so cute.. in his little beater & boxers.. I just needed to take a picture of him
and when I did - he struck a kung fu/hiYA pose...
which in turn - brings out the bird
I'm getting more & more pictures with him showing me the bird
he doesn't know what it means... or that its bad -
I think he feels bad for tall man -he doesn't really have a job in this world -
and Luke's just trying to put him to use
The kids put their capes on backwards the other night - and gave each other hair-do's
they're getting along so nicely lately
LOVE IT

and then the switch-a-roo

Boy got a little annoyed that sister was doing his hair wrong.. not brushing it the way he liked it

so what better way to solve all problems...
than to take a break & brush my hair for a little bit.

This sunday was FINALLY nice enough to play outside.
Not nice enough for them - nice enough for me
So we took a nice long walk.

and they ran

out of all the grass they finally have to play in -
these two find the only patch of ice.. and insisted on slipping across it

GRASS!

I think we're going to have another spring & summer of explaining tetus shots to boy...
and why he should stay away from rusty fences
and girl has to realize why not to sit in mushy wet grass

its really a cute picture -
but the reality is boy is kicking girl off of the cinderblock he wants to sit on

and he won

One day, making tracks in the prairie of Prax
came a North-going Zax and a South-going Zax
And it happened that both of them came to a place
Where they bumped.
There they stood
Foot to foot - face to face.
"Look here, now!" the North-going Zax said, "I say!
You are blocking my path! You are right in my way!
I'm a North-going Zax and I always go north!
Get out of my way, now, and let me go forth!"
"Who's in whose way?" snapped the South-going Zax.
"I always go south, making south-going tracks!
So you're in MY way! and I aks you to move.
and let me go south in my south-going groove!"

kaboom

and I just can't get enough of them being nice to each other
